Everything you need to know about visiting us, insurance, and our dental procedures.
General Dentistry
For most patients, we recommend a professional cleaning and exam every six months. Some patients with specific dental needs may benefit from more frequent visits — we'll personalize your schedule based on your oral health.
Dental X-rays use very low doses of radiation and are considered safe. We use digital imaging, which further reduces exposure. How often you need them depends on your individual risk factors and dental history — we'll discuss this with you at your visit.
We primarily use tooth-colored composite fillings, which blend naturally with your teeth. We'll discuss the best option for your specific situation during your appointment.
Common signs include persistent tooth pain, sensitivity to hot and cold, or swelling. However, sometimes there are no symptoms — which is why regular exams and X-rays are important. If we detect infected or damaged pulp inside a tooth, a root canal can often save the natural tooth.
We always try to save a natural tooth first. Extraction may be recommended if a tooth is severely damaged, infected beyond repair, or impacted (as with some wisdom teeth). We'll discuss all options with you before proceeding.
Restorative & Cosmetic
Dental implants are designed to be a long-term solution. With proper care — regular brushing, flossing, and dental visits — an implant can last many years or even a lifetime. The crown on top may eventually need replacement due to normal wear.
A crown covers the entire tooth and is typically used to protect and restore a damaged or weakened tooth. A veneer is a thin shell placed over the front surface of a tooth, primarily for cosmetic improvement. We'll help you determine which is right for your goals.
No. We offer several tooth-replacement options including dental implants, bridges, and both complete and partial dentures. Each has its own benefits — we'll review what fits your needs, lifestyle, and budget.
The veneer process typically requires two visits: one to prepare the teeth and take impressions, and a second to place the custom veneers. The full process usually takes a couple of weeks from start to finish.
